Bellman CX25-P Espresso Maker and Steamer:

The Bellman CX25-P is an all in one espresso maker and milk steamer designed to be used anywhere.  At home or whilst on the road you can enjoy espresso anywhere and everywhere you go.

The Bellman CX25-P removes the guess work when making espresso and steaming milk.  The built in manometer allows you to create lovely syrupy full bodied shots of espresso full of crema under complete control.  The CX25-P is capable of making 1-9 espresso shots however optimium use is more like 1-4 shots, past this the shots can taste over extracted.  Temperature control is key to extraction of shots.

The steam pressure Vs temperature table below illustrates extraction temperatures that you can work to.  Hotter shots make stronger coffee because it increases extraction yields.  You can tailor your shots exactly how you like them through practice.  You will find that brewing shots at a higher temperature compromises flavour of your shot.  If you want a stronger shot you simply add more ground coffee rather than increasing the temperature.  The Bellman range will work on gas, ceramic and induction hobs that are compatible with 304 grade stainless steel. Please check this before ordering.

Brewing Instructions:

  • Use Espresso/Stovetop ground coffee.
  • 10g/shot and use the 3/6/9 diffuser for desired volume of espresso.
  • 1:2 ratio to yield 20ml/shot works best.
  • Do not over fill or underfill the unit with water before sealing. Half Full works best for espresso and steaming capability.
  • Make sure the top knob is secure and the top silicone seal is not pinched.
  • Place the Bellman on your heat source and never leave unattended.
  • Once the water gets to boiling point the brew pressure manometer will rise.
  • Extract between 0.5 - 1.2 bar for espresso, try to keep the extraction temperature stable when pulling shots.
  • Fill milk pitcher and start steaming your milk for your desired milk based espresso drink.
  • Steaming milk between 1.0 – 1.5 bar is optimum.
  • Do not leave your Bellman on your heat source once you have finished making your coffee.
